I travelled to Tupperville for this family session and, despite a GPS “incident” that had me scrambling for directions at one point, and then being told I had “arrived at me destination” in the middle of a field, I made it!
I was so pleased to meet the beautiful Langstaff Family (in their flawlessly coordinated outfits!) and discover the ah-ma-zing location they had chosen for the session. Open field, old bard, hay bales, oh – and a vintage couch. Let’s just say i was mildly excited!
This family is so fun and loving and was an absolute joy to photograph. Hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do! xo
The lovely Kelly was the winner of my Family Lifestyle Show giveaway for a free session. When she mentioned that her adorable little family would be decked out in Blue Jays outfits and wanted a “baseball feel” to their photos, it felt only natural to choose a baseball field as our location. We met early in the morning and had a blast exploring the field that – as it turns out – Kelly grew up playing on. Kelly and Mike actually met playing baseball, so the sport definitely plays a huge role in their life! Admittedly, I felt a little out of my element (let’s just say baseball isn’t my thing – as in I am totally clueless!), but it’s always nice to try something a little different, and I just love how these turned out. Kelly and Mike, I hope you do too! -xo
After being rained out twice, it was such a relief when this beautiful sunny evening finally presented itself for Kristi and Grant’s Port Stanley Beach engagement session. This pair is so fun and adorable, and I just can’t wait to photograph their wedding this Summer. Thanks guys for being such good sports and dancing away on the beach for me – I hope you’ll love these photos as much as I do! xo
I first met this sweet family after they received a gift certificate for a maternity session with me. We headed out to the woods on an October evening and had so much fun documenting their anticipation for their new addition, which turned out to be the very adorable Solomon. I was so happy to hear from them again last Winter when we started making plans for a Summer family session. I got to see Isaac in his role of proud big brother (and as cute as ever!) and meet happy, smiley Solomon who charmed me with his adorable grin. There was lots of laughter and dancing and playing involved, which made getting cute candids of this fun-loving bunch easy as pie. It threatened to rain all day, but luckily the only short-lived downpour happened during the greenhouse portion of our session, when we were safely sheltered. Big thanks to Van Horik’s Greenhouse for making this shoot extra special!!
This month’s theme was “hair”, and to be honest I was a little stumped. There were so many directions I could go in, but for some reason I was feeling a little uninspired. At first I thought I’d photograph my daughter’s growing (finally!) blonde baby wisps, but I photograph her all the time and wanted to push myself creatively in a bit of a different direction. I enlisted the help of my gorgeous client, friend and fellow photographer Mallory. Something about a beautiful subject in a breathtaking location had me instantly inspired and we got so many amazing shots that night that I will be putting together a follow-up post with all the overflow photos that didn’t make it in here! In the meantime, here is my ten for this month, selected from the “water” portion of our session (Thanks Mallory for being such a trooper and going with my vision!).

I loved this session so much. It threatened to rain all day, but the severe thunder storm warning that loomed over us proved to be wrong! What a charming, rustic location we had for this session, and what an adorable bunch this family is! Aneta is a photographer herself and it’s always such a wonderful compliment when I get a fellow photographer in front of my lens. I just love all the candid moments we captured – and can we take a moment to appreciate their killer colour coordination? Hope you enjoy perusing the photos below!
I’ve known Jen for a few years now and had the privilege of watching her go from engaged to married to mama of one, then two, then three. This whole family is as sweet as can be and I always love photographing them (and then seeing their prints displayed all over their home!). After having to reschedule due rain, we finally got the gorgeous morning we’d been waiting for and headed out to the (mosquito filled) woods. Here’s a look at our session!
