We headed downtown for Mackenzie and Marco’s sunny evening maternity session. I had a blast with this laid-back pair exploring alleys and pathways and capturing this special time in their lives as they prepare for their new little bundle. Marco and Mackenzie, I wish you all the best as you embark on this new journey. Here are some of my favourites from the session. -xo
Meet Samantha and Justin, a gorgeous, fun-loving couple that just so happened to pick the most beautiful evening of the Autumn season for their session. I was practically having heart palpitations over the delicious light we had, and kept gushing about how this was the most beautiful night EVER. These guys must have though I was borderline crazy… which, when it comes to golden evening light, I suppose I am! This session was so much fun, despite the killer rooster that tried to attack us multiple times at the Arva Flour Mill. He is one territorial fellow… and I’m thankful we all came out of it unscathed – haha! Sam and Justin, thank you SO much for trusting me to capture your love. I hope you love your photos as much as I do! (P.S. Sam is a photographer too – check out her lovely work here!).
This wedding was absolutely gorgeous, from start to finish. It was such an honour for me to photograph it, especially since Brigitte and Josh had originally signed on with the amazing Natalie and Ron of Mint Photography (they’re the ones who took the fabulous engagement photos seen in their decor). The job was handed over to me when it became clear that Nat and Ron would be preparing to welcome their twins into the world on Brigitte and Josh’s wedding day. Big kudos to Brigitte and Josh for rolling with it and totally trusting me to capture their day, and big kudos to Nat and Ron for being rockstars and handling this situation like total professionals. Every little detail of this wedding was planned to perfection, and it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of it. Here are some favourites!
Venue: CASO Train Station, St Thomas

Finding a date that worked for everyone was a feat in itself, and then we could only hope and pray for dry weather! This session had to happen rain or shine, and I’m SO glad the rain held out so that we could explore the woods behind the Bogdon’s family home. Their charming tree lined street was breathtakingly beautiful and alive with Fall colours, and we made sure to grab a few shots out front as well. What a fun, relaxed session this was. Here are some of my favourites!
For this month’s theme, I spontaneously called on a friend who is very much immersed in the world of horses, and she made this happen. The lovely Erin, featured in the photos below, was ever-so-kind as to allow me to photograph her with her beloved horse Trevor. I love how natural this session was – nothing was styled or posed, just a girl and her (brown) horse on a chilly Fall morning.
Be sure to follow the blog circle to see how the other photographers interpreted this month’s theme, starting with the talented Jessica Downey Photo.
One of these lovely daughters is one of my beautiful 2014 brides. What a treat to get to meet her awesome family a year before the wedding and provide them with some family portraits. King Family, it was so nice to meet you! And Emily, I am SO excited to photograph your engagement session and wedding! Here are some of my favourites!
This session was almost cancelled due to weather. The forecast was promising rain and the clouds looked threatening. But instead of rain, we got soft, beautiful fog that added a touch of romance to Caitlin and Graeme’s amazing session. Everything about this shoot was so.much.fun. Running through fields, wheel barrow rides, giant woodpiles, jumping in mud puddles barefoot, I mean – it just doesn’t get much better than that! I had such a blast photographing such an adorable couple against such a breathtaking rustic Fall backdrop, and I have a ton of favourites to share on the ol’ blog this evening! Enjoy.
They were one of my very first clients, 3 years and 2 cameras ago, back when I hoped and prayed that someone would book me. Since, I’ve photographed them three times and have seen them add a fifth member to their lovely family. It’s always such a pleasure to photograph the Charlebois family, and I am so, so thankful they’ve stuck with me over the years. Here are some favourites from our most recent session.
I headed to Ilderton to photograph this fun couple in the woods behind their home, along with their adorable dog. We explored the trail left by an abandoned railway and then walked over to the Ilderton Fair for a few fun photos to commemorate the place where these two lovebirds got engaged! Here’s a peek at our session, so looking forward to their 2014 wedding!
