London Ontario Engagement Photographer | Kaela & Wayne

It was a little chilly on the day of Kaela and Wayne's engagement session, but this adorable couple made the best of it and was all smiles. To say these two are adorable together would be a huge understatement. I loved having them in front of my lens, and they made my job easy with all of the laughter and loving looks. Here are my favourites from our session!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Emily and Josh's Country Engagement Session

I had the pleasure of meeting Emily and Josh back in the Fall when I photographed Emily's entire family. They are the sweetest couple and I am so looking forward to photographing their 2014 wedding! The sun really came out to play the night of their engagement session, so I was just a little bit excited to be photographing two beautiful people in a beautiful setting with, you guessed it, beautiful light!  Here are my favourites from our session!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Rebecca and Bryant's Snowy Engagement

I'm so excited to be Rebecca and Bryant's wedding photographer - these guys are seriously adorable and fun! We shot their engagement photos on a beautiful snowy day - giant fluffy snowflakes and everything freshly blanketed in white. To top it all off, we were able to use an amazing farm property for the perfect backdrop. Rebecca and Bryant - I can't wait for your wedding this Summer! Here are some favourites from our engagement session!

London Ontario Engagement and Wedding Photographer | Emily and Chris (and TJ!)

When I first met Emily and Chris at a Starbucks to discuss their Fall 2014 wedding, I knew right away that I wanted to be their photographer. They have such a sweet, genuine energy, and their love for each other is so apparent. We shot their engagement session in the woods on a brilliantly sunny November morning, and the light couldn't have been more perfect for this cozy, romantic shoot. They brought their beautiful dog Tj along too, and we were able to capture some photos of them with their baby. :) Emily and Chris - I can't wait to photograph your upcoming wedding! Here are some of my favourites from our session!

London Ontario Engagement Photographer | 2013 Couples/Engagement Favourites

I've decided that my 2013 favourites will be split up into three posts. Partly because my slightly OCD nature likes to categorize things, and partly because this allows me to include more photos per category. :) In high school, I'd always get reprimanded for writing essays and long form test answers that were too long. I never had any trouble meeting the minimum word count... the maximum word count, however, was not my friend. So, it's been extremely rewarding but also really difficult to go through all of my  2013 work and narrow it down to my absolute favourites. You'll find the 2013 wedding favourites here, and the 2013 family favourites (maternity, family, child, newborn) will be coming up in my next post. As for this post, have a peek at the beautiful couples I've been privileged to have in front of my lens in 2013. Most of them are 2o14 wedding couples (and one 2013 wedding couple). A handful of them are just couples in love who wanted to document their relationship. I love them all!

London Ontario Couple Photographer | Raw Footage Photography

Meet Samantha and Justin, a gorgeous, fun-loving couple that just so happened to pick the most beautiful evening of the Autumn season for their session. I was practically having heart palpitations over the delicious light we had, and kept gushing about how this was the most beautiful night EVER. These guys must have though I was borderline crazy... which, when it comes to golden evening light, I suppose I am! :) This session was so much fun, despite the killer rooster that tried to attack us multiple times at the Arva Flour Mill. He is one territorial fellow... and I'm thankful we all came out of it unscathed - haha! Sam and Justin, thank you SO much for trusting me to capture your love. I hope you love your photos as much as I do! (P.S. Sam is a photographer too - check out her lovely work here!).

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Caitlin and Graeme's Engagement Session

This session was almost cancelled due to weather. The forecast was promising rain and the clouds looked threatening. But instead of rain, we got soft, beautiful fog that added a touch of romance to Caitlin and Graeme's amazing session. Everything about this shoot was so.much.fun. Running through fields, wheel barrow rides, giant woodpiles, jumping in mud puddles barefoot, I mean - it just doesn't get much better than that! I had such a blast photographing such an adorable couple against such a breathtaking rustic Fall backdrop, and I have a ton of favourites to share on the ol' blog this evening! Enjoy. :)

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Emily and Geoff's Engagement Session

When talking to Emily about her upcoming engagement session, she mentioned a few times that she really wanted her photos to be unique. And I have to say, these have got to be the most unique engagement photos I have ever taken... but not so much thanks to me, more so thanks to the crazy weather! We almost cancelled the session due to storm warnings and on and off rain all throughout the day, but because Emily and Geoff had come in to London from out of town, we decided to go for it. When we arrived at Fanshawe Conservation Area, the sun was beginning to dip down and we had beautiful rays of golden light for a few minutes before it started to rain. After the short rain showers, the sky went from grey to dark blue/black as billowy storm clouds rolled in from one direction, and the setting sun shone brightly in the other direction, turning the other half of the sky into a soft pink/orange painting. Right as the sun set, the entire sky turned bright orange, and then once the sun had officially gone down, the skies were clear and blue, with only a few fluffy white clouds in the distance. As I look at these photos in sequence, it's hard to believe that they were all taken on the same day, in the same location, within minutes of each other. I have always been adamant about never using artificial sky or cloud overlays in my photos, so rest assured that these are all real skies and real clouds... nature at its best! Hope you enjoy these very unique photos of a very beautiful couple. Emily and Geoff, I can't wait for your 2014 wedding!! -xo
