London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Christina & Justin's Western Fair Engagement

When Christina asked if there was anything I'd been wanting to shoot, I gave her a few ideas off my "photography bucket list" for her e-session with Justin and was thrilled when they opted to use the Western Fair carnival as their location. We had so much fun trying out rides, tasting treats, playing games and winning prizes (by the way guys, my little girl still adores the little orange bear you won for her!), and it was the perfect setting to capture some fun, candid, romantic moments with this adorable couple. I simply cannot wait for their 2015 wedding! Here are my favourites from our shoot!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Katelyn & Kirk's Fanshawe Conservation Area Engagement

I've always wanted to photograph a couple in a canoe, and I've been so lucky this past Fall to do it not once but twice! The first time was for Katelyn and Kirk's dreamy sunset engagement session at the Fanshawe Conservation Area. The light was just gorgeous, and I was determined to get some backlit shots, even though I was on the wrong side of the shore. Props to Katelyn and Kirk for paddling this pregnant photographer with all her gear to the other side of the shore and dropping her off on a random rock just to get a bit of backlight. I sure do love that delicious, golden pre-sunset light. I had so much fun with the two and can't wait for their 2015 wedding! Here are some favourites from our shoot.

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Monica & Nathan's Rustic Outdoor Wedding

I'm so happy to finally be sharing Monica and Nathan's beautiful outdoor August wedding here on the blog.  When I met them for their Spring engagement session and heard all about their plan for a carefree, rustic backyard wedding, I just knew it would be amazing.  I loved the laid back simplicity of this day, and all of the thoughtful, earthy details (my absolute favourite detail - the fresh herbs planted in jars as centrepieces!). Monica and Nathan, thank you so much for the special honour of capturing your beautiful wedding day! Here are some favourites.

Many thanks to my amazing second shooter and assistant, Orsolya Gyorgy!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Britney & Paul's Grand Bend Wedding

When Britney and Paul shared some of their wedding plans with me on the day of their gorgeous Spring engagement session, I knew right away it was going to be amazing. And that it was. Getting ready in a quaint little cottage, a first look in the woods, portraits on the beach, a heartfelt ceremony and beautiful reception held at Grand Bend's lovely Oakwood Resort - it was simply a perfect day. And can we talk about the stunning sunflower bouquets? I'm still in love with them! Britney and Paul, thank you so much for allowing me to capture this special day for you. I wish you all the best on this new journey together! Here are some of my favourites from the day.

A big thank you to my amazing second shooter and assistant, Orsolya Gyorgy!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Liana & Adam's Bellamere Winery Wedding

Liana and Adam booked me from Alberta, so I didn't actually meet them until our engagement session. I knew from the very beginning how fun-loving and awesome they were, because they enthusiastically agreed to a reaaaaaaaally early sunrise engagement session - which was a total blast! They are such a sweet and affectionate couple. Just the way they look at each other is magic, and it was a pure delight to capture their happy, beautiful wedding day for them. Here are some favourites from their special day.

Big thank you to Laura Purdy for second shooting and assisting!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Graeme & Caitlin's Century Barn Wedding

As soon as I finished shooting Graeme and Caitlin's epic engagement session, I started instantly looking forward to their wedding day. They are such a fun loving, adventurous couple, who are clearly head over heels in love with each other. They tied the knot at the Century Wedding Barn on one of the hottest days of the Summer, and everything from the gorgeous ceremony and the beautifully decorated barn to the amazing food and ice cream bar was absolute perfection. Graeme and Cait, thank you SO much for allowing me to capture your special day, it was an honour! -xo

Thank you so much to my second shooter and assistant, Laura Purdy!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Lauren & Ryan's Grand Bend Wedding

Lauren and Ryan got married at Oakwood Resort in Grand Bend a few weeks ago, and it was an unbelievably beautiful and perfect day. Gorgeous weather, an outdoor ceremony with a breathtaking view, smiles all around, and  not one but two scheduled couple portrait sessions on the beach(one at sunset, my favourite!). Everything and everyone was flawless and happy! Just wait until you see the stunning florals and decor (major props to Village Vines Floral & Event Design and Amy from Unmistakably You for their amazing work), and the incredible buffet we were treated to. Lauren and Ryan, thank you for the honour of capturing your special day. Wishing you nothing but the best as you start this new journey together!

Big thanks to Laura Purdy for second shooting and assisting! :)

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Emily and Geoff

From the moment I met Emily and Geoff at their engagement session last year, I knew I would love photographing them. They are the sweetest couple, so relaxed, happy and obviously crazy about each other. Their wedding was absolute perfection. From a first look on the beach to a dreamy outdoor ceremony to sunset portraits, it truly was a photographer's dream. Emily and Geoff were simply radiant and their love for each other and for their families infused every part of the day. It truly was an honour to capture their beautiful wedding, and I couldn't be happier for these two as they embark on this new journey together. Emily and Geoff, thank you so much for having me, and thank you for scheduling sunset portraits!! : ) I wish you all the best. Here are some of my favourites!

Thanks to my second shooter Laura Purdy for assisting me throughout the day!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Sophia & Stephane's Montreal Wedding

Waaaaaayyyyyy back in high school (Montreal circa 2000? ish?), I met this spunky, sweet and hilarious girl named Sophia. Sophia became a dear friend and we shared many late nights "studying" and "preparing for group presentations", as well as many deep art class discussions and frantic pre-Physics exam reviews. It was during one of these art class chats that I first told her about my friend's mysterious older brother, who would soon become my best friend, and later my husband. "How's David?" She would ask with a wink, back when there was "NO WAY I would EVER like him like THAT" (cough cough). A few years later, Stephane came into her life. I remember her telling me about him, and I remember wondering if he would be "the one". Turns out he was, and though my move to London meant I didn't actually meet him until their wedding day, it was clear from the minute I met him that they couldn't be more perfect for each other. These two are so clearly head over heels in love, their wedding was full of teary heartfelt moments from start to finish, and it was truly an honour to be there to capture it all. One of the most touching moments was when, after the traditional vows, first kiss and signing, the couple took the mic again, on their own, and read personal letters to each other. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. I was thrilled when Sophia asked me to photograph her ceremony and portraits, and thrilled to be able to enjoy my beautiful friend's reception as a guest. It was such a perfect day, and a wonderful way to kick off my 2014 wedding season! Sophia, love you so much bambuda! xoxo Here are some favourites!
