I’m reminiscing about last year’s Port Stanley Beach Minis on this rainy Monday! Beach minis are perfect for capturing fun, playful, candid photos either as a family or a couple. There’s just something about the beach that invites you to splash in the waves, dig your toes in as you walk along the shoreline and cuddle up on washed up beach logs. This year’s beach minis will tentatively be held on June 12th, August 11th and September 11th. I absolutely loved Jacky & Brad’s maternity session. I really enjoy splitting a session between in-home and outdoor. For this shoot, we got to cozy up for some lifestyle shots indoors before heading out for some woodsy outdoor photos (featuring Jacky’s stunning yellow dress). Here are some favourites!

I absolutely loved meeting this beautiful family on this sunny, snowy evening for their maternity/family session. Spoiler alert: the baby boys this gorgeous mama was carrying in these photos are cute as can be, and lucky me - I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them twice since!

London Ontario Maternity Photographer | Greenhouse + Snowy Winter Maternity Session

This session is making me nostalgic for Winter sessions as I await the go-ahead to start shooting again. This maternity session was split between a sun-soaked greenhouse and a snow covered forest, which provided lots of variety, not to mention a break from the cold! Jennifer wore her beautiful gown for the outdoor portion of the session and didn’t complain once about the cold (and it was COLD) - what a rockstar! Here are some favourites.

After their maternity session, we went on to photograph a hospital newborn mini, an in-home newborn lifestyle session, and multiple family minis. Fall Minis are officially open for booking, which means it’s time to look bak on last years Fall sessions in the woods. I don’t specifically plan my Fall minis around trees with changing leaves (They’re either way up high in a mature tree or on the ground, which means that anything other than a wide shot gives me a tree bark background - not my favourite ;) ). Instead I am a sucker for golden, overgrown grasses and Autumn wildflowers. I loves these sessions and cannot wait to be back in this same location for Fall Minis again this year.

Booking for this year’s Flower Farm Minis is opening up to the advance notice list in a couple of days, which means it’s time to reminisce about last year’s sessions!

I’d been wanting to shoot on a flower farm for awhile, and last year I was finally able to make it happen on Harris Flower Farm’s beautiful property. There’s nothing quite as vibrant and whimsical as a field of flowers, and I am so excited to be shooting here again soon.

We can never predict what specific blossoms will be in bloom at any specific time, so it makes each year a little bit different.
