I still remember meeting this sweet couple for the very first time. We had such a blast shooting their Western Fair engagement session, and I have such fond memories from their beautiful wedding. Fast forward to Big Brother Oliver’s newborn lifestyle session, and now baby Simon’s, which I am sharing today. I’ve since seen them again for a mini session, and it always makes my heart so happy to have them in front of my lens. Here are some favourites from their cozy in-home session!
In-home newborn lifestyle sessions that involve siblings are so much fun. There are inevitably times throughout the session when baby needs to feed or be changed, and while I do photograph a lot of these in-between moments, it’s also nice to give baby a little space sometimes. It’s in these moments that I make friends with big brothers and sisters who are usually thrilled to show me their bedroom and all of their favourite toys. This leads to bed jumping (sorry, parents!), book reading, dinosaur playing and play kitchen feasting, to name a few. It also allows me to document older siblings in their element, being silly, thoughtful, and doing the stuff they like to do. This in-home lifestyle session allowed for lots of time with baby Asher’s older brother in addition to all of the newborn snuggles. Here are some favourites!
The great thing about a lifestyle branding session is the ability to incorporate different outfits, locations, and styles in the same session. Bree even included her adorable family for a few photos before heading out to explore downtown with me. We grabbed coffee, found a back alley staircase and took a stroll on a sun-soaked bridge at golden hour, all in different outfits. We jumped between professional, playful and lifestyle approaches and the result was a gallery full of different photos that tell the story of who Bree is as a person, as a business owner, as a mama. I feel like her bubbly personality really shines through in these images, and I am so happy to finally be sharing some favourites here on the blog!
I feel like a broken record saying this, but it is truly such an honour when another photographer trusts me with the task of photographing them. Randy and eileen (who prefers her name spelled with a lower case ‘e’, in case anyone thought I was consistently forgetting to capitalize it. ;) ) are an amazing husband and wife photography/videography team here in London, and I’ve loved getting to know them. I have always loved in-home lifestyle sessions. They are popular as newborn sessions, but I love photographing families at all stages of life, playing and snuggling together in their cozy homes. This family in particular holds a special place in my heart. Meg was my midwife (twice!) and it is always such a joy to see her and her beautiful family again. I absolutely loved Aimee’s lifestyle headshot session in a downtown London cafe. I first met Aimee when she booked a couple photography mentoring session with me. We hit it off and have since become friends (as have our daughters!) and I was delighted to be able to shoot some headshots for her in an empty corner of a busy downtown London cafe. Today I’m looking back on Nicole’s lifestyle headshot session. We started off at Covent Garden Market before heading to the Gibbons Park, capturing both Nicole’s love of laid back market browsing as well as her love of outdoor adventure. I happen to love outdoor snowy photos, so I was all in to bundle up and head out the the woods. Here are a few favourites from her session! I loved meeting and photographing sweet baby Nate. I had the pleasure of meeting his lovely family for their maternity/family session, and got to see them all again a little while after this shoot for a fun family beach session.
