Many of my clients know Becky from Found Decor Company, whose fabulous vintage props and treasures have helped me spruce up some of my mini sessions over the last couple of years. Becky is a creative genius and I was so happy to send a bit of creativity back her way with this fun family session in Port Stanley. When Carolyn from In Bloom Photography contacted me to photograph her entire family, I was thrilled and a little nervous. Photographing fellow photographers is always such an honour, but I always go in with extra butterflies in my stomach! I was so excited when Mary called to ask about an in-home lifestyle session for her sweet kiddos. I absolutely love photographing kids in their home - carefree, comfortable, natural. We played outside, we played inside. They showed me their favourite games and their silliest tricks. We laughed and explored and it was such a joy to capture it all. It was so great to see Connor, Amanda and Rosaleigh after almost a year since photographing their 1-year anniversary wedding vow renewal ceremony. We met at the Arva Flour Mill this past Spring to capture some sweet moments while they are still a family of three, before little brother joins them later this year! Here are some favourites!
Nathan, Monica and Sarah travelled from Brantford for their early morning engagement/family session. This was the first time I was meeting them, and it was so nice to get to know them a bit before their wedding day later this Summer. I loved meeting and photographing this fun-loving, laid back family. It's always a special kind of treat to photograph families with grown up children. Of course I love capturing the snuggles and giggles and silliness that come with younger families, but I also love watching the interactions of older families and witnessing the amazing bonds between siblings and parents. This year marked the 3rd annual Raw Footage Photography Mother's Day Minis! We did things a little differently this time, opting to shoot inside a greenhouse to ensure vibrant surroundings and warm air during this very late (and cold!) Spring. Many thanks to the good people at Van Hoorik's Greenhouse for opening their doors to us and allowing us to use their beautiful space, as well as a huge thank you to Becky from Found Decor Company for coming down from St Thomas with her beautiful props to add a bit of vintage charm to our mini setups. I'm so pleased with how these turned out, and am so thankful that so many beautiful mamas came out with their littles to make some memories. I had such a wonderful time photographing this beautiful baby girl and her family in their gorgeous home. In-home newborn lifestyle sessions are always a treat for me, and this one was no exception. This session is close to my heart because it features some of our very best friends. We just love these guys so much, and can't wait to meet their newest bundle, another sweet baby boy.
